October 6, 2009 (Dallas) — Dr. Larry Markson, 40-year Parker Seminars attendee and author of Talking to Yourself is NOT Crazy (Change Your Inner Dialog – Take Control of Your Life), spoke during Parker Seminars in Dallas, TX.

Years ago Dr. Markson was struggling in practice before someone told him to go to Parker Seminars. He attended his first Parker Seminar in 1969, and this year Dr. Markson achieved his goal of speaking during his 40-year Parker Seminar anniversary. “The first time I came to Parker Seminars and listened to Dr. Jim Parker speak he literally changed my life,” said Dr. Markson.

He explained that Dr. Parker was talking about things he had never heard before. “He was telling people they are born to be successful, they can create what they want in life, and explaining the chiropractic philosophy,” said Dr. Markson.

“At the end of the seminar I did the best thing I have ever done in my life,” said Dr. Markson. “I left making a decision to be successful and to do whatever it takes to do so.”

Dr. Markson’s practice grew very quickly after he returned from the seminar. He decided to dedicate his life to find out what it’s like to be happy and successful. “The only difference was the difference in the captain driving the ship,” said Dr. Markson.

For years Dr. Markson drove Parker Seminars speakers to and from their destinations during the seminars because he wanted to be around them and pick their brain for knowledge. “I copied the attitudes, actions, and procedures of those more successful than me,” said Dr. Markson.

Dr. Markson told the audience that it’s not where their practice is, it’s who is running it that will determine whether or not it’s successful. He said they can be better and deserve to do better. He advised them to rip free of the bonds that are shackling them to mediocrity.

Dr. Markson is a firm believer of the law of attraction and that anything you want will be attracted to you. He believes that if you tell yourself something you want, you will receive it. He explained to the audience that everything about success is in your head. “You can have it your way if you open your mind to concepts and ideas that will make you successful,” said Dr. Markson.

Because of Dr. Markson’s dedication to Parker Seminars and his passion and discipline in helping shape the future of the chiropractic profession he was presented the Back Bone Award from Dr. Fabrizio Mancini, president of Parker College of Chiropractic and Parker Seminars, and Dr. Gilles Lamarche, vice president of Parker Seminars.

“I will never forget the first speech I heard from you at Parker Seminars,” said Dr. Mancini. “You changed my life during that presentation and now you have again. I thank you for what you do for the profession.”
